You Carried Me: A Daughter’s Memoir by Melissa Ohden

If you read no other book this year, read this one.  Ms. Ohden writes her touching true story.  She was a product of an attempted abortion.  When she learned to truth, she set out on a quest to find her parents and to understand how they could do this to her.  She learned to lean into God and wait.  He did not disappoint.
It took many, many years for her to discover the truth.  She discovered that she was indeed wanted; she wasn't cast aside.  Her parents loved her.  Even though she did not get to meet her father, she developed a relationship with her mother and the rest of her family.
Ms. Ohden is an advocate for life, and adoption.  You'll find her excellent blog at

I received a copy of this book from handlebar publishing.  My opinions of this book are honest.
